MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION

“Mindfulness gives you time. Time gives you choices. Choices skillfully made lead to freedom. You don’t have to be swept away by your feeling. You can respond with wisdom and kindness rather than habit and reactivity.”

How good are we at dealing with strong emotions, our own and those of others? Mindfulness skills increase our ability to tolerate the rough and tumble of everyday life, reduce stress, enhance focus and help us see the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Not everyone wants to commit to regular formal meditation practice. Yet it is extremely beneficial make use of the tools of meditation and learn to apply them in daily life. Learning to free ourselves from the mental states that interfere with our capacity for openness, clarity and firm intention is a key part of the work.
Learn how to effectively:

  • Cope with strong emotions
  • Face difficult/stressful situations
  • Gain control over your life, even if it means learning how to let go.
