A better relationship with your partner.
A better relationship with yourself.

Where Are You Now?

  • Stuck in day-to-day routine, relating less like a couple and more like coworkers?
  • Longing to put the passion and intimacy back into your relationship?

  • Going through a crisis or transition that is putting more stress on your relationship than ever before?

Opportunities in Disguise

  • Even if you are feeling desperate right now, this may be exactly where you are meant be in order to move your relationship from gridlock to growth.

  • Most couples experience difficult times in their relationship. This is normal and one of the growth opportunities that long-term relationships provide.

  • When partners navigate these challenges with commitment and skill they can use the challenges in their relationship to develop themselves as individuals as well.

  • I help partners bring their best self to the relationship.

How I Work:

While many therapists offer the neutrality of traditional couples therapy, I will step in to correct unhelpful behaviors and suggest skills to replace them with that you can practice between sessions. I believe in shorter-term treatment utilizing longer two hour sessions weeks apart. We can modify this according to urgency and availability. Our first meeting lasts 90 minutes for individuals and two hours for couples. By the end of the first meeting we will identify the essential problem or unique dance that is keeping you stuck as a couple and discuss the steps that will help shift your pattern.

Couples work can help partners:

  • Establish emotional and sexual intimacy
  • Get through a crisis such as infidelity or addiction
  • Learn how your personal history impacts your relationship.
  • Learn how to reduce the emotionally charged responses that come from old scripts.
  • Create more joy and aliveness

Some of the Topics Couples Seek Guidance On

  • Sensitive issues related to children, in-laws, finances and sex
  • Balancing work and family life
  • High and low desire differences
  • Reuniting after an affair
  • Communicating effectively through lifestyle transitions
  • Stay or Go Counseling
